The lucky prize-winner is 21-year-old Zoe Galea from the Gold Coast. Zoe jumped at the opportunity to learn from the best in the business at Sage Institute of Fitness, and came out on top against the competition. During her diploma course, Zoe will be learning about human biomechanics, nutrition for performance, fitness coaching concepts and tools, fitness e-marketing, functional anatomy and physiology, and lots more.
The prize will give Zoe the skills, knowledge and training she needs to set herself up for a long and successful career as a fitness coach and personal trainer. Let’s find out a bit more about Zoe and her excitement at winning this life-changing scholarship!
What made you decide to enter this competition for the Sage Institute of Fitness, Fitness Coach scholarship?
I have wanted to be a part of the health and fitness industry since I was a child but have been held back by financial constraints. This scholarship has opened doors that I wouldn’t have otherwise been able to access. I am so incredibly grateful for this opportunity.
How did you feel when you found out you’d won?
I was in a little bit of disbelief but mostly ecstatic when I got the call. This will open so many opportunities for me and I can’t wait to get started!
What do you love about fitness?
I love that fitness doesn’t discriminate. It doesn’t matter what you’re interested in, how old you are or what your budget is. There are so many different ways to bring fitness into your lifestyle to reap the benefits.
What are you most excited to learn about during your course?
I’m very excited to learn about nutrition coaching. I’ve always been conscious of what goes on my plate so it will be great to have a further understanding of that.
Why do you think Sage is the right fit for you?
I’ve heard many great things about Sage and know that it offers a very comprehensive approach to Fitness. I feel as though this course will help set me apart from the crowd in a booming industry.
What do you want to do with your Sage qualification when you’re finished?
I would love to establish a holistic gym that incorporates nutrition coaching, personal training and life coaching.
Congratulations and good luck with your studies, Zoe. We’re delighted to have you on board – see you around campus soon.
